Retrofitting Stormwater Ponds for Improved Water-Quality Performance: Techniques, Tools, and Examples From Kitsap County, WA

Most of the older stormwater ponds in Kitsap County are undersized and do not incorporate effective water-quality treatment features. A manual has been developed offering detailed guidance on how to assess effectiveness of existing ponds, prioritize ponds that would provide most system-wide benefits from modifications, and select the best retrofit options for existing site constraints.
