Implementing Green Infrastructure: Atlanta’s Post-Development Stormwater Ordinance

Anticipating new federal stormwater regulations, Atlanta’s Department of Watershed Management has proposed adopting an ordinance to require use of green infrastructure on new and redevelopment projects, both commercial and single-family. This presentation examines the DWM’s efforts to educate city leaders and future permit applicants, train plan review staff, prepare for compliance and enforcement, and address inspection and maintenance issues.
