Session Detail
Watershed-Based Urban Stormwater impact Mitigation Case Studies
P13 Tuesday, August 21, 9:00 – 9:30 / Rooms 202-204
This presentation reviews a multiple-criteria watershed-based BMP and LID implementation approach, which is particularly applicable for suburban to highly urbanized watersheds where traditional stormwater controls are not adequate to achieve watershed goals such as erosion control. The optimization process presented can benefit municipal officials in making informed decisions about locating and prioritizing stormwater management projects. Two case studies, one from Westchester County, NY, and one from the Rutgers University campus, demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.
